Up In Smoke FR TESTUDO 3.0 Welding Jacket With Hood

The Testudo 3.0 from Up In Smoke Welding Apparel is the world’s first welding jacket with a built in hood.

Right Handed or Left Handed?

The sleeve on your dominant arm has been double lined with Carbon X material to help mitigate the transfer of heat and help with the longevity of the sleeve.  The three piece sleeves have a natural bend at the elbow for increased ease of movement as well as more room in the shoulders for ease of movement.  Designed for light to medium-duty welding in warmer climates.  Perfect for pipe lining, field work and welding indoors. Not meant for gouging.  Select your preference for Left handed or Right Handed from the drop down menu.

The body of the jacket is constructed with North American Mount Vernon Mills FR twill, while the high wear areas utilize Carbon X Repel.  Strategically placed Carbon X material on the side of the hood, upper chest, and arms to help protect from burns and prolong the life of your garment.  By placing Carbon X material only where you need it, it cuts down the weight and bulkiness of the garment while still delivering the protection you need.  Carbon X Repel is significantly lighter then leather. Its lighter weight increases comfort and decrease’s the amount of muscle exertion required over the course of a work shift.  Carbon X Repel sheds molten metal, certain chemicals, flammable liquids, and other molten substances while providing extraordinary protection against extreme heat and direct flame, sparks and spatter simply roll off the material.
